Good product! - Watch straps

I treat my Gshock very badly. Way rougher than anyone should be. Daily salt water, tons of dents, scratches, more than an acceptable amount of sand and dirt have seen this watch. My group ended up rotting after being in salt water the whole time for over 4 years (which is a long time) and I bought this new one with no problems and just had it assembled. It also allowed me to clean the watch and I was amazed at how much dirt can accumulate around the watch bezel. 10/10, would buy again (but…

AW 590 - Ideal replacement

This band was a perfect replacement for my AW 590. Now I have a couple of watches and bought a tool kit a few years ago so I have a spring bar tool. Removing the old strip was easy, but of course attaching a new strip was a DISEASE. All I can say is take your time and don't get discouraged. I made sure one end was inserted first, then worked the other side until it was lined up correctly. It's probably a 15-20 minute job with the right tools, but I felt like it could take less time, it doesn't…

Match Original with Casio

The other day my 4 year old belt broke. I went online and watched 3 videos for sharing. Everyone said I should buy a Casio strap. It's more expensive than some of the others, but it looks and fits like the original, which I think is the way to go. Taking the old one off was relatively easy doing what the videos showed, but putting it back on was hard, hard, hard, and I finally gave up after getting closer for over an hour. Took it to a local watchmaker (The Watch Pocket, Silver Spring, MD) and…

Replacement OEM Strap for Casio G-Shock Men's Watch # AWG100-1A

I was nervous about ordering this watch strap because for some reason it's difficult to find replacement straps for the AWG100-1A. I was relieved when the strap arrived in the original Casio packaging and it was exactly the watch strap I needed. After watching a few tutorial videos on YouTube, I was able to replace the strap myself using a mini flat head screwdriver. I have to say that it was very difficult to get the spring pins in place, but I persevered for about an hour and a half and…

Looks like the original on my AWG100-A1 (4765)

I've had this watch for over 10 years and wanted to put it back on with a new strap. Was a little unsure if it would fit my old 4765 but it looks and feels like the original. The only difference is that "Made in Thailand" and "Made in China" are written on a metal buckle. As others have commented, the setup was a bear. To get the bands and pins into the holes you need to press the bands snugly against the watch case. The short strap went fine, the long strap tightened forever. But happy with…

Good replacement strap

My original Casio sport strap broke so I bought a replacement Casio strap. The band itself is great and is a great substitute. It fits the watch perfectly (25mm wide and 16mm spring bars). I originally bought my watch (G-Shock AWG100-1A) in 2010, it's a bit older than the G-Shock models listed in the strap description. I was able to make the replacement with a small 5mm flat blade screwdriver, but if you want to make timing easier I highly recommend getting a watch spring bar removal and…

Half of the belt is not installed.

This strap appears to match the Casio factory part number but there is a difference in the small identification numbers stamped on each part of the strap. My old strap: 740 FB3 16 >PUR< They are near the outer end of the strap from top to bottom. New "replacement" tape: 740 GD4 16 >PUR< Only the number 16 is relevant, which corresponds to the width of the connection fitting - 16 mm. I've been looking for explanations for these numbers but can't find any information. I know these…
