Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great idea but needs to be adapted for the younger set.

This is a really great device for experimentation and learning. However, it has design flaws. The wires use these pins on each end that you need to connect to the components. However, they are not easy to connect. In fact, even as an adult, I have to work to get them in without bending over. You are TOO MUCH. I end up doing most of the wiring. Then there are modules. Again, they are too narrow to connect to the network. You really have to make an effort. And then there's the grid. THIS IS TOO LOOSE. When you connect wires or modules, the network is isolated from other parts of the network. My recommendations to the manufacturer: #1. Make a box-sized one-piece mesh out of it. Just like a breadboard. #2 Use microbananas instead of pins on the ends of the wires. Yes, it will add a little bit to the cost, but no more than $5. It's a good learning tool and I recommend it, but your child needs to have fine motor skills and enough strength to connect everything and then take it apart. You also need to have a lot of patience when the nets fall apart. So 5 stars for the concept, 1 star for the execution. If your child has good strength and motor skills, this is a pretty good toy, but I still recommend waiting for the redesign. I have to go, he'll call me again.
