So great not even a small issue got in the way of the fun

Ok so we're giving 5 stars although we had a problem aligning the microprocessor holes so we could get the wires in. When we got to the project that created the audio, we couldn't get the audio right. I looked very closely and saw that the wires in holes A and B were missing a socket. I removed the screws and put them together and they lined up better. However, my 11 year old daughter wasn't sure what it was. The kit was everywhere, but she quickly ripped into it. She built project afterโ€ฆ

Great idea but needs to be adapted for the younger set.

This is a really great device for experimentation and learning. However, it has design flaws. The wires use these pins on each end that you need to connect to the components. However, they are not easy to connect. In fact, even as an adult, I have to work to get them in without bending over. You are TOO MUCH. I end up doing most of the wiring. Then there are modules. Again, they are too narrow to connect to the network. You really have to make an effort. And then there's the grid. THIS IS TOOโ€ฆ

It's amazing how much you can do with such an easy to use kit

Thirty years ago I bought what seemed to be a simple electronics kit from Snap Circuits for my 8 year old son. It was a bit out of his reach at the time but good enough that he kept it and recently passed it on to his own 8 year old son who also likes it but still finds it challenging. Wondering how things have changed over the years I was dying to try this new set on my 8 year old grandson and today is the day. As expected, he was very interested and enjoyed looking through the set. I expected
