This is my first Viewsonic LCD (I've used Samsung and Dell before) and I've had this monitor for a little over a year and already have two dead pixels. It wouldn't be so bad if one of them was bright, right in the middle of the screen and easily visible. The other is a dark pixel and is directly in the center left. I have had many LCD screens and unfortunately this was the worst I have had in the last 5 years. Note that Viewsonic has a new pixel policy, supposedly one of the toughest on the market: http://www1.viewsonic.com/support/warranties/pixel-performance-guarantee_sellsheet_hires_en.pdf As per their limited warranty I need another dead pixel around to get a replacement board.
