The trousers are quite interesting, two pockets on the sides and two below, there is a back pocket (deep). Also, the legs are unfastened, resulting in shorts. They are definitely a relaxed fit style. I am 5'5', When converted to shorts they fall about 5 inches below the knee, which is not desirable for me.

They are light weight. That’s the only good thing, they are a very noisy/rustly material. The waist sizing is about right but the legs around the thigh area is more proportional to a xxl/xxxl size pants. The legs are also about 5 inches to long for a medium size. I've worn this on several hikes. It's great for late spring into the summer if you're hiking at higher elevations. This does a great job at keeping the wind out of your knickers, but it *does not* keep the cold out. That's totally fine, it's not supposed to, but it's worth noting since they are pants. The material is durable and has survived my falls on rocks, rubble, and general brush. They have fared well walking through low hanging brambles and branches and have (so far) kept me scrape free.

The waist measurements are accurate (My husband takes a L and these fit him fine) but the legs are very wide and roomy. The length is also long.
