Early lamp failure 93 days after receipt (lamp just out of warranty)

Well the projector _was_ great until the lamp failed 93 days after delivery. We see a blinking red power light and a solid red lamp light, which seems to indicate an early lamp failure. I am furious because we are literally days away from the end of our 90 day lamp warranty. What the hell. So now I have to spend a few hundred dollars to fix this thing. Before the lamp failed early, the picture was bright, bright and sharp. There is no excuse for the lamp to fail so early, as this is a known…

Decent Projector - Short Throw Applications - BUT NO ZOOM!

This is a decent performing projector but I am not happy with the documentation that OPTOMA provides online for this product. It mentions that it has a ZOOM ring to change the size of an image. - but after I bought it and the installer installed it on the ceiling - we realized that there is no ZOOM ring, and being a short throw - the picture was too big and didn't fit the screen. I sent it back to AMAZON. and have since bought an EPSON 1060 which fits nicely in my room (ceiling mounted). Home…

Great 1080p HDR projector.

The image quality is excellent. Mainly used for my golf simulator and the sharpness of the color tones is excellent. The Optoma website is a bit misleading. They highlight 4k, but be sure to read the fine details. This is not a 4k output projector. This is 1080p output with 4k input. The reason for this is that 4k transmits an HDR signal. So if you are looking for a 1080p HDR projector then this is the one for you. Setup was easy and image shifting is versatile. Has horizontal and vertical…

SUPER Short Throw Video Projectors

Hell! Spicy! SUPER short throw! Great price for a quality device. I did a lot of research and compared specs before deciding on this projector. I mostly use it outdoors with a 220 inch screen and it sits about 9 feet from a wall. I live in a city so there is a lot of ambient light, but the image was clear and bright at 8:30 in July before the sun had fully set. At 9:30 it was like watching a movie in a good cinema. We watched a BluRay movie and everyone loved the quality. Easy installation…

VOTED ONLINE BEST CINEMA PROJECTOR FOR STREET YARD!

My use case was not a game, although this device was heavily promoted to gamers. I read a review on the Internet that called this device the best all-round outdoor and backyard cinema projector. I agree it's, it's AWESOME. You can buy projectors with even more brightness (I've seen 6000 lumens for $2800 but I'm a fan of flashlights and I can tell you that the difference between these 3800 lumen and 6000 lumen devices isn't that great (is as big as you might be. In other words, the juice isn't…

Bright, easy to set up gaming projector

Definitely one of my best purchases in the last year. I've never owned a projector before but wanted something to watch movies and play games from my PC and PS4 and this projector is perfect for both. The projector has several modes, including one dedicated to gaming. In all modes, the picture is very bright and clear (thanks to Darbee enhancement). Gaming Mode: With 16ms latency, it's not as fast as a gaming monitor, but definitely one of the fastest projectors/TVs for gaming. Color and…

A good choice for a game projector.

Main Games Played: Rocket League (PC) Overwatch (PC), Street Fighter V (Local, PS4), BlazBlue (Local, PS4), Tales of Berseria (PS4). Netflix setup (PS4): My projector is set up on a coffee table using a wired HDMI connection. It sits just under 4 feet from the screen and delivers a very good 84-inch picture. As with any expensive projector, you need a screen. It was first projected onto a textured wall while I waited for my screen to arrive. The picture was good, but not outstanding. After my…

Outstanding projector! (Plus some ceiling mounting tips)

This is my first projector and I can't believe I waited so long to take the plunge. It met very specific usage requirements: it had to be ceiling mounted in front of a fan that I didn't want to move, leaving only about 4 feet between the projector and the screen. This produced an 80-84 inch image depending on how I positioned the projector on the mount. After installation, the picture was large, bright and clear. It's a little dark in broad daylight, but in a slightly to fully darkened room I'd
