Bought this collar for the third dog in our system. We have been using this dog system for 20 years with 6 dogs. Without him I wouldn't have a dog. The system gives dogs so much freedom. My dogs go out unsupervised for hours. They're used to it and I'm sure they very rarely get shocked. The vibration is a reminder enough. You have access to a garage and an acre and a half (food, water, shade and shelter). You're pretty lucky. This is a great system! As a dog, we sit with our daughter's Australian Shepherd and wanted a collar for him so he could have the freedom of our other dogs. I bought this collar and the sensitivity was not the same as the other two collars. I would have to increase the range of the transmitter for it to work properly and then the exclusion range for our other dogs' collars would be messed up. I called the company's support and they said the new collar wasn't supposed to work like that. They said it might be the battery but offered to send the newest battery collar for free. They sent it to me on the second day of delivery. This new collar is greatly improved and works great. Although I was not happy with this collar, the company's customer service team did their best to rectify the situation. My 20+ years of experience with them has always been good. This is a great company to work for.
