I styled my hair with disposable hair ties due to COVID because I didn't have a good way to sanitize/decontaminate my regular hair ties. The ones I use are more flexible and I like that they don't get caught on my hair. These rubber bands are softer in texture than regular rubber bands and stretch well. Considering they are for single use I would expect a slight break here and there but so far the number of breaks seems to be more than I expected. After a few uses, about 80% of them even break before I let my hair fall. If it hadn't been poked into a bun by unseen people, it would have fallen out completely. After the first few tries, I styled my hair without pulling it to the max and had less breakage, so I think I've learned my lesson - don't pull it out all the way. I'm on the fence Given that I don't just rely on them to maintain my style I think that's fine, but for any other use I'll probably try something different.
