I bought black/grey, taupe/brown and taupe/ash at the same time to compare and out of all 3 I only returned taupe/ash. The shading is a bit forgiving if you use a light touch. I have black hair and light to medium skin in Neutral Cool 25, so I usually stay away from tan-red powders. (Honestly, I have no idea why this is so common). The good news is that black/grey has a very cool undertone, while dark brown/brown can still be used despite being slightly warmer. Taupe/Ash was too yellow to work with me. The fact that mini tools are included is a nice touch, although the angled brush isn't as useful as it has hard plastic bristles. In any case, I use my long-handled angle brush. But with a mini coil everything is fine. By the way, the "grey" side of black and gray isn't actually all that scary. It's really more of an ashy DARK TAUPE. I usually mix 2 of these together.
