I was shocked by my office chair so bought this one. Read the instructions. A colleague (an electronics engineer) sprayed it on his hands! No, it's useless. You spray it on POROUS materials that are a source of static electricity. You get an electric shock because the friction and separation of two static-prone materials builds up a charge. The door handle will not shock you. You carried the charge and the doorknob took it from you. Do not spray on the doorknob. Maybe it's the clothes you're wearing or the chair you've been sitting in. It works for weeks without further treatment.
