I was surprised how thin the material of the robe is, but it is very soft. I ordered a size larger than I needed and damn it fits over hoodies and sweaters. I'll see how it holds up with time and washing. The Gryffindor patch is beautiful, and frankly, we're paying for that, aren't we? *Update* Downgrading my rating. I should have paid attention to everyone who said that after washing this robe everything else in the wash was completely covered in black fluff. Some don't show up at all. This is one of the most expensive things I've bought in a while, but one of the cheapest.
