Review on Icepure 46-9690 Replacement Filter Combo for LG LT700P & Kenmore Elite - Improves Water Quality & Fresh Air in Refrigerator by Darius Glatzel

I purchased this product earlier this year to replace an LT700P filter and was very disappointed to see that it doesn't actually filter water. I bought a water filter quality meter that measures parts per million (PPM) in water. As you can see from the photo, carbon filtered water should have a PPM between 50 and 100. When using this product with filtered water, the readings were consistently between 200 and 250 (these are the same readings I would get with tap water in my house). To make sure it wasn't a filter defect I replaced the filter with the second one I bought (it came in a pack of 2) and after running water for a few minutes to clear it of dirt, everything was there also a rating. of 223. I do not recommend buying this product.
