because I needed a rear view camera and front/rear DVR function. Tried it in my garage (dark place) and because everything looked so nice I spent a couple of hours getting everything in order, hiding the wires and plugging in the lights. and realized that my concerns about the screen were correct. The screen is a mirror. So if you align it like a rearview mirror, you see nothing but light. Well, a mixture of light and images on the screen so that you don't see anything clearly at the end. Because of the effort I put into the setup, I convinced myself that I could use the rearview mirror's anti-glare arm to aim the screen at a darker surface to see the screen if needed. I tried, but even with the screen at maximum brightness, I still couldn't get used to the glare. So I decided to try a different setup by placing the mirror on a cell phone stand on the dashboard with the screen facing the floor. Aside from that, I tried turning it off using the sleep/power button on the bottom of the device (it has an internal battery so it turns on even when unplugged). And that was it. The button got stuck in the block and wouldn't turn on again. As a result, the whole morning was wasted and that Chinese trash returned to Revain. I'm not sure if the unit I got had some sort of broken feature that somehow 'disabled' the mirror when the screen was working, but the problem with the button only confirmed my fears about the bad one quality of the product. Based on all the positive reviews I like to think I got a lemon but after all the disappointments I don't want to go into detail.
