Review on πŸŽ’ Top-Notch Osprey Stratos Eclipse Medium Backpack: A Must-Have Casual Daypack by Brad Knierim

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good backpack but not as comfortable as I was hoping for

Overall I like this backpack, it has many features, perfect internal size for a day or night pack and holds the weight well. The pockets are well thought out and thought through. The hydration system is easily accessible. The inner side zip allows for easy access to gear without having to throw everything away. My biggest concern is the narrow back support system. If you're a broad-shouldered guy, I think it goes right over the shoulder blades. I'm only 5'8 - 175 so I think taller/wider people might find this very uncomfortable. The suspension system could have been a bit wider to cover that area. I found myself constantly adjusting the straps to take those pressure points off my shoulder blades, even after short runs. I ended up adding padding in this area to solve this problem. Aside from the span, I like the functionality of the pack. Wouldn't it weigh more than about 35 pounds or else it would get uncomfortable on uneven ground. If I were to buy again I would probably go with the Osprey 50 over the 36 for a little more room and a little more comfort. In any case, you can do it and give this package to a teenager or a woman.
