Very comfortable and durable.

This is my new favorite backpack! I really enjoy using all the features this pack has to offer. Very comfortable to wear thanks to the Osprey AG suspension (anti-gravity) and ventilated panels. I have used this backpack on several night and weekend hikes in remote areas and it has performed brilliantly. I usually pack my tent, sleeping bag and mat, kitchen system, raincoat, food for 3 days, some extra clothes, some electronics and first aid supplies, toiletries and water treatment and 3 liters…

Pros
  • Two zip pockets on hip belt
Cons
  • boring packaging

Good backpack but not as comfortable as I was hoping for

Overall I like this backpack, it has many features, perfect internal size for a day or night pack and holds the weight well. The pockets are well thought out and thought through. The hydration system is easily accessible. The inner side zip allows for easy access to gear without having to throw everything away. My biggest concern is the narrow back support system. If you're a broad-shouldered guy, I think it goes right over the shoulder blades. I'm only 5'8 - 175 so I think taller/wider people…

The most practical hiking bag

This is my third backpacking bag I've tried and it's the best so far. This pack puts most of the weight on the hips rather than the shoulders/upper back, making it really easy to carry more weight over long distances. I also like the additional side zip access to the main compartment which makes packing easier and getting things out of the bag quickly. I used this bag as hand luggage and tried not to pack anything in the top compartments to stay within the maximum height. I haven't had any…

Pros
  • The Stow-On-The-Go trekking pole carrying bag allows you to quickly attach and transport your trekking poles without having to remove your backpack. Built in detachable rain cover
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Excellent backpack with a few small flaws

I used this backpack for a week of day hikes in the Swiss Alps and am very happy with the package. It has enough storage and compartments for a day hike (it could probably be used for a light weekend night hike as well). The two pockets at the top of the backpack (one accessible from the inside, one from the outside) are handy for phone, keys, etc. The large main compartment has both top and side access. There is an external pocket on the back of the backpack that can hold a first aid kit or…

Pros
  • Elasticated mesh pockets on both sides of the backpack provide easy storage for bottles and small items
Cons
  • Negative gift
