Review on πŸŽ’ Top-Notch Osprey Stratos Eclipse Medium Backpack: A Must-Have Casual Daypack by Russ Freeman

The most practical hiking bag

This is my third backpacking bag I've tried and it's the best so far. This pack puts most of the weight on the hips rather than the shoulders/upper back, making it really easy to carry more weight over long distances. I also like the additional side zip access to the main compartment which makes packing easier and getting things out of the bag quickly. I used this bag as hand luggage and tried not to pack anything in the top compartments to stay within the maximum height. I haven't had any problems on international flights, but on the way back I put some stuff in the top compartment and the AA agent let me stow some stuff on the domestic flight to fit the maximum size. I used this on a 5 day/4 day 80 mile hike in Patagonia. Because of the water in the streams, I didn't need to take my bladder with me, and I didn't need to take food with me either. But I was able to carry my sleeping bag, multiple layers/changes of clothing, and various camping gear. Also, I should mention that I am a woman. I decided to buy a men's bag for a few liters more. I think it's important to simply measure yourself to make sure you're buying the right size bag for comfort. The included rain cover was easy to use and withstood wind speeds of over 80 km/h.
