The hardest part was removing the old ones because of rust. Let them soak and use the breaker. A note on installing my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The front ones don't have underbody bolts, which I find odd as the original shocks had them nailed in place and couldn't be reused. For the rear shocks, be sure to follow the original top and bottom bolts. One has a cone and is slightly shorter (below I think). If you swap them out, you'll hear a clink with each hit. Also, make sure you scroll them too, otherwise you'll get that knock too (actually, it was my noise issue). There wasn't much room in the upper case when the shock was in place, so I hammered it in to make it a little tighter on the shock. I only wore them for a few days but now the running is much better. I will post if there are any problems in the future.
