Varnish is very powerful solution for caching web content and speeding up the loading times of websites. Because of Varnish’s powerful caching engine, web sites load more quickly and perform better. Varnish is very extensible, allowing you to customize it to your needs. Because of the large amount of Varnish modules available, it’s a challenge to try to determine which plugin you need. There are Varnish plugins available that can be added to Varnish to suit your needs. The Varnish team is very responsive to questions and requests. It would be great if the Varnish community could get together and make some of the plugins available open source. Varnish is a very effective solution for speeding up websites. Varnish can improve the performance of any website as it caches content, so it can be used to speed up websites. With Varnish, performance issues and loading times have been reduced. Easy to deploy at scale with HTTP/2 support (works well in an NGINX reverse proxy). The UI is very easy to use and there are lots of configuration options that can be tweaked easily if needed. We're using it as CDN cache so we don't have any particular complaints about this product but I would recommend trying out other products first before making your choice. Deploying large number of servers quickly within our infrastructure via Chef recipes which makes deployment simple.
