Review on Experience Enhanced Tank Cleaning with Camco 40126 Tornado Rotary Tank Rinser & Hose by Tim Paolucci

Not like before.

The original design used a plastic female hose fitting that became brittle and broke = bad after a few seasons. However, the nozzle head ALWAYS turned = good. New design uses metal female hose connector = good. However, the nozzle head may or may not rotate = bad. When compared side-by-side, the original design had much tighter fitting tolerances. The premise of how the nozzle rotates depends on the action of the jet on the walls of the tank and the eccentrics, the plastic lugs on the nozzle head, to keep it moving. Well, there will be tolerances for the new design, and if you have a long but flat rectangular tank that has the rinse aid installed on one of the long sides, then if you align the main jets parallel to the length of the tank, it stops to turn! As an engineer, I made a little tutorial on how to balance the jet head so it works with my tank instead of leaving dead rinse aid in there just to patch a gaping hole. Camco, you used to have a great conditioner from a functional point of view, but with poor durability. Now you have a lousy rinse aid with good wear resistance. Maybe it's time for a third generation that combines positive qualities! It doesn't take long to fix problems, but chances are you'll need to modify your toolkit to fix them.

Pros
  • The easiest, most hygienic way to clean out the RV sump
Cons
