Great cheap replacement but requires some effort
No internal circuitry and it took about 1.5 hours of work to transfer my key, circuit board and immobilizer chip. Most of the work was moving the physical key as the replacement is not identical so I had to knock out the roll pin and file my old key until it was the perfect thickness for a proper fit. Not brain surgery, but most people probably wouldn't have the tools or patience to do the job well.
