UPDATE: Unfortunately I went through four of them. My kids love them (each has their own) but they keep breaking, especially the spinning motor. I was able to get a refund/replacement for one of these but had to buy more (because several nights of obsession from hell to take them to work or we refuse to sleep kids.) Tried taking one apart to get to see if I could fix the motor myself but I haven't had any luck - so I'll be buying more - because I value sleep without a fight more than my wallet. two of them - one for our 6 year old boy and one for our 2 year old girl. They both LOVE them and sleep GREAT with them! We first bought one for our son who has dark issues and it helps him fall asleep easier. Our daughter figured this out at a year old so we got her one for the room too and now all I have to do is say "pretty stars" and she's ready to go to bed! She will lie quietly and look at them every night (and while sleeping!) and fall asleep happily without making a sound! I'm not sure about the battery life because we keep it connected to the network in our rooms all night, but we've used it to sleep away from home for an hour or two with no issues, disconnected from the network to manufacture.
