Well, first of all, the box is very flimsy - almost like the old recycled cardboard we used to have. But I didn't buy these straws for the box. The straws themselves are perfect. They came in individual packaging in transparent polyethylene. The straws are translucent and appear to be made of high quality plastic. They are roughly the same diameter as Starbucks straws. perfect for cold chest and other drinks. These are NOT super thick/large oatmeal/slush straws. These are straws for drinking liquids. They're 10 1/5" long so fit my Turvis goggles and my Yeti goggles. They're flexible and work in slots on street cups. They're also strong enough to use a straw for several days. I see not that they are prone to splitting.In general happy with the purchase.
