Super bright, which is great. My 1998 dump truck had the stock bulbs replaced. so good to see Strange problem - sometimes these lights come on on my truck when the headlight switch is not on. As if I had daytime running lights. They always light up when the switch is on. I tried installing the extension cords that came with the lamps, but then they didn't light up at all. I'm not saying there isn't squirrel wiring in my truck - years of installing and removing accessories has turned the wiring harness into a hot mess. In any case, this is a strange but impractical problem and I can't figure out why this is happening. Beginner's note - there is a correct orientation for installation, meaning you can (and I did) turn it upside down. This part is not mentioned in the instructions. Not a big deal but of course I didn't notice it until the first time I drove in the dark and then it took me a few more weeks to take the time to fix it. Read the labels on the headlight and install the bulbs in the correct orientation to read the labels after installing in the vehicle.
