They can be used for dry cleaning for several months without breaking or falling apart. They are relatively easy to hold with a strap. The only part that makes it a bit awkward is the thickness of the wood compared to the length of the bristles. Sometimes it's not that easy with curvy bodies, but softer bristles or thinner woods probably aren't as strong or effective. They definitely helped with dry skin during the winter months!
