I really struggled to find a stencil like this made specifically for cakes that was affordable. In fact, I literally found one that was specifically for cake and was ridiculously expensive. I thought - what the heck - I'll take a craft template. It worked great! Getting the edible gold paint down to the right consistency to work with the stencil was a little difficult as it doesn't sit flush with the cake, but I managed with minimal bleeding. I expected a little but it was still part of the design.
