First I wanted a 100% cotton pillowcase in dark purple with flanges. Not easy to find so I ordered based on the reviews. I am listing BIG CON first and one star so anyone who wants to buy it will see this along with CON: POORLY Sewn! One corner has a LARGE opening along the seam. I can fix this, but it's worn out and needs better quality control. NOW FOR THE PROS: 100% COTTON - Rarely found in a pillowcase, especially dark purple with flanges. BUT since it's cotton I wash in cold water (I use OLD FASHIONED Orig Lysol as it's the only Lysol product that kills germs in the cold and I always wash new clothes and bedding before use and always use cold , to avoid fading). I also use liquid fabric softener in the wash and tumble dry low to keep it from shrinking. COLOR - REALLY dark purple FABRIC - The fabric was thicker than I see MANY pillowcases or cushion covers these days. SIZE - It fits a standard pillow snugly and even if you have a pillow that is a little too full it should work. PRICE! - Although I had to mend the stitching, I'm glad I got it as it was the ONLY cotton fake in that color that I could find, ESPECIALLY at the tricky price of six dollars for change! BUT I RECOMMEND YOU CHECK EVERYTHING WHEN YOU BUY. I just use a standard pillow which is more decorative so it's not used as a sleeping pillow but who wants an open and frayed seam anyway?
