Review on πŸ“± Spigen Stand Folio Case for Surface Go 3 (2021) / Surface Go 2 (2020) / Surface Go (2018) - Charcoal Gray by Craig Waters

Another good Spigen product, but with a problem.

I recently bought a Surface Go to replace my dead iPad Air 2 (thanks for killing it Apple). Since I take it to and from work every day, I need a reliable cover to protect it. The Spigen cover fills the bill, and then some others. This is not a flimsy cover, it is full coverage of a wraparound briefcase. It's not easy, but I'm ok with that: I need protection, and the few extra ounces that come with that are irrelevant when I consider potential damage to the Go. The lid works the same way with or without a keyboard (I usually go without), which reduces weight and bulk a bit, but I don't mind that either: it's all about protection. There's a handy pen holder, a strap, and an outside pocket that can hold a few papers but is too narrow to hold a charger. I've had Spigen cases on my phones for years. They are well made and at a fair price they offer excellent protection and look good. This portfolio cover meets the same criteria and I look forward to using it as long as I have Go. Update: Unfortunately I had to deduct 2 stars and replace this case with another brand. The plastic corner handles aren't strong and have started to break with normal use, although I've only removed the Go once or twice. Obviously this is a problem because it keeps Go in the lid. Finally, in a brief fall, one of the corner handles broke so badly that it just became unsafe to use the lid. I understand that drops will do this, and in a sense parts of the cover are a sacrifice. However, this problem started appearing after a few months of regular use. I love Spigen products but this one didn't live up to my previous experience.
