but not entirely satisfied. This motion sensor has no close range.

Generally ok, but not quite. This motion sensor is far from the stated range. I pointed it directly at the target area and turned it to full sensitivity. Only activates about 10-15 feet away. UPDATE: Wanted to clarify that this motion sensor is 100% plastic. There is no metal at all in the case. I had some glitches trying to install it. Sometimes in daylight, when I flipped the switch from "Test" to one of the three temporary settings, the light just stayed on. I would flip the switch again if the light went out. In addition, there is a photo cell on the underside of the device to switch off the daylight motion sensor so that the light only goes out in the late morning. I would advise moving the photocell to the top of the device to capture more light. UPDATE: Downgraded to 2 stars. Less than a year later, the motion sensor stopped turning the light off properly. Sometimes we find that it runs for hours when the timer is set to 10 minutes. The only way to fix this is to toggle the light on and off and then mess with it. I replace them with RAB Lighting STL110 Stealth. I'm not sure if this helps, but I'm done with Lithonia. UPDATE: I installed the RAP STL110 Stealth and it's still working fine for the first winter. I would buy the RAB again if I needed a different motion sensor, even if it's more expensive.
