Review on Sengled SmartThings Compatible Multicolor 2000 6500K Equivalent Smart LED Bulb by Jay Swearengin

tldr; A great bulb that offers colored light without adding another hub. For the past few months, I've been looking for a way to bring smart home color lighting to my family. I have a SmartThings hub and wanted to add any lighting I brought into the house to that hub. I have a strong technical background so I did a lot of research for solutions that required little work and some that combined different smart home products and services. Philips Hue bulbs were expensive and required proprietary hubs for the best quality. Sylvania bulbs seem to have a 50-50 chance of being good or complete rubbish. I was about to give up and buy Philips lamps until I saw that Sengled finally launched colored lamps. I have bought several light bulbs from Sengled and have found them all to be of good quality. I don't usually buy things with a lot of reviews, but I decided to give this one a try. I bought a lamp to test. I bought another fat one because the first one looked great. I think I'll be buying many more in the coming months. Color quality is good, brightness is excellent, and installation was quick and easy. I have individual lights in my hallway and I wanted to make them day white during the day, soft white at night and gradually fade to a dull red late at night. They are perfect for this role and provide the same bright light in the hallway as the old floor lamps. My only complaint about them is that their Alexa integration via SmartThings isn't exactly perfect when it comes to picking some colors (e.g. "Alexa, there's a red light in the hallway" gives me pink) . But don't let that put you off - the colors are properly matched with SmartThings, displaying a wide range of colors and I was able to program them perfectly into the scenes. If it wasn't for the price I would quickly order a few of these and replace many of the white and soft bulbs I have around the house with these. I now like to bring a new one into my house, which reminds me to buy another one right away. Another great product from Sengled. Keep it up guys.
