So the plan (before our daughter was born) was to buy SNOO and let our daughter sleep in our room for the first 6 months and then move into her room when she was of age . Cradle size, but life has other plans. She has sleep apnea and needs to be monitored with oxygen and a pulse oximeter at night so she would have to stay in our room for more than 6 months but she has outgrown SNOO. A full size cot would not fit in our room so that was our choice. This is a really nice little crib, especially for the price. It doesn't feel fragile, it's a very strong material and it's pretty easy to put together. The color (Espresso) goes well with our bedroom furniture and our Graco changing table (https://www.amazon.com/Graco-Lauren-Changing-Table-Espresso/dp/B014A7MAYW?th=1). a few small scratches but not too noticeable. The funny thing is that it says here you can't use a mattress thicker than 2 inches, but I can't find a mattress thinner than 3 inches, so I ordered this one. It could be a typo, fair warning, the instructions are riddled with typos which my husband and I laughed at as we put them together.
