Unfortunately poor quality and broken new player

I have never written such a negative review on a product like this that I felt it was just a horrible product and also a product that left me extremely disappointed , but here I am I should and I've been as honest as I could be to help others. I have had a SanDisk Clip Zip for 3 years. After 8 months it had to be replaced by Sandisk under warranty, and a little over 2 years later the power button just stopped working. This is a very short shelf life for a product but it did what I wanted which was play music and I didn't realize there was another product at this price that meets my requirements. So I came here to buy a new Clip Zip and was disappointed to see that it's no longer made and now there's the Clip Sport. Although the new model was good. I was bothered by the very mixed reviews, particularly about new firmware that needs to be developed to fix problems with a product that initially didn't work properly, but Sandisk seems to have fixed the situation. The benefit I found with the Clip Sport was that the audio was far away. higher, and the device itself seemed less fragile. This is for professionals. Unfortunately, the disadvantages here are more than impossible. As I said, I use it for music and all I liked about the Clip Zip wasn't the sport function but the simple stuff. If you search for an artist in the Sports section and see all albums, you cannot select "Play all by artist". Instead just one album at a time or in random order. Next comes the playlist issue, which is an easy way for any user to list songs from the tracks they want in the order they want. I had a lot of playlists on Clip Zip. The instructions on how to do this with the sport are very confusing. I called a Sandisk representative over the phone to explain how to do this. But then again, there's nothing but trouble with this device. When I try to add a 2-CD set to my playlist, the tracks are not saved in the order I added them, but 1.1 and 2. 2 are listed incrementally from each CD. And when you put things in a playlist, the album art doesn't show up. Some might not care, but when I buy something, I want it to do everything it promises. I was okay with this product from the start and it didn't meet my needs. The easiest way is to avoid playlists and just use the 3 available GoLists. So here I accepted all the shortcomings and all my basic needs that this device didn't meet and used it daily. At least I could play music if it wasn't the real convenience I wanted. But then, unfortunately, after 3 weeks, real problems started. I was on a four mile walk, the player was in my shirt pocket playing, and suddenly the volume dropped to almost zero. I thought it was headphones, but I took out the player and it turned the volume down on its own. Then when I tried to press the keys and fix the problem, every key I pressed showed the wrong function. I pushed the power button and it didn't turn off even after holding it for 1 minute. When I press the play/pause button the volume settings are shown, when I press the back button the settings are shown and when I press the forward button the currently playing song starts over from the beginning. The unit seemed to become possessed. I was very upset, glad it was 30 days since I bought Revain, but I wanted to give Sandisk a try. I have a good representative who understood exactly what I described. He helped me reset the lock - the problems remained the same. It prompted me to go into settings to see the version update I had. I told him if I press the up or down button on the settings screen, it does a different function and I couldn't figure it out. I registered my device with them and it was able to see the firmware I had on it. and he said the firmware required to make it work when i got the device was now known to be causing these messy issues and when they started the only option was a newer firmware update which they did . That's what I said, until the new firmware is ready I'm stuck with a player that doesn't work. He said right. Then the worst happened. It made me connect the player to my computer and Windows stopped recognizing it. Instead, a new item was said to have been found but could not be identified as it was defective and needed to be replaced. The Sandisk rep told me the device was useless and that I should return it to Revain. The representative was very nice and honest and went above and beyond to deal with the product. who had so many problems from the start. I really thought this was the only basic MP3 player that would serve my purpose, but I did a little more research and luckily found a much better product at Revain that did a great job of meeting my needs and even eclipsing Clip Zip. cost twice as much But it was worth it. Plus, the cost was still very reasonable. A heartfelt thank you to Revain for standing by what they sell and for their great returns policy. I sent it back and received another branded model 2 days later. My last words: 1) The zipper had to be replaced after 8 months and didn't even last 2 years. 2) The Sport started failing in less than 1 month and didn't even offer the basic features that a music lover would love to have different options to play your music. 3) Whatever the price of the item, it will last at least 3 years and I have taken very good care of all my sandisk players. Unfortunately, I will never buy a Sandisk player again. It's worth paying a little more
