I have been building and maintaining fires for many years and I consider myself an expert at both lighting and maintaining and getting an even burn for optimal combustion/fuel. Relationship. I have taken this campsite several times and used it sporadically; and while I appreciated its convenience, portability, and design, I inevitably used it once or twice and always ended up resorting to my own direct breathing, as I had for many years. I think this bellows would be most valuable in certain conditions where direct venting was either problematic or ineffective. Especially for firefighting where there may not be enough tinder and a limited amount of coal to make it work. I love this product, I just don't use it as often and reliably as I thought I would.
