I bought this camera to replace my Canon T3. A full DSLR was difficult to carry around and I never took it with me for photos. It seemed like a good compromise. I was able to change lenses without much effort. The camera takes some great shots, but I didn't like the low-light footage. My husband plays soccer at night and I find it difficult to photograph him when he is playing at night. However, I didn't expect to be selling any on ESPN any time soon. I also don't like that additional lenses for the camera cost almost as much as the camera itself. If you're considering a macro lens, you probably don't need one. The camera also does a great job if you just select the "Auto" function. In general I am very satisfied with the purchase.
