Since there was no suitable place on the wall to mount the camera in height/direction, I made a 2x4 bracket to put the camera and this solar panel on it. If I had made the cable very short it would have looked better but I didn't want to mess with splicing, soldering and shrinking, the entire cable was wrapped in a plastic bag and wired around the 2x4. For the past 2 weeks since installation, the battery has drained to 60% every night. However, it charges up to 100% in the sun around noon. I think it' gets 100% charged before dark, even if it's cloudy or rainy. Fixed: Camera battery may initially have insufficient charge upon installation, now camera health shows 100% or almost 100% every morning even if the previous day was rainy. So both units are working fine right now, but we'll see that in 5-10 years.
