This food dehydrator is amazing. I bought it for about $100 and paid for itself the first time I used it to make 10# starting weight beef jerky. The racks are plastic and lightweight, which suits me as they are easy to clean. I use this almost every week now. Have recommended him to all my friends. This year I've cooked over 30# cooked beef jerky. (60+) Temperatures are preset to 8 specific temperatures, but you can usually find a preset that is close enough to your product (Temperatures: 95°F, 104°F, 113°F, 122°F, 131°F, 140 °F, 149 °F and 158 °F). I never had to turn trays which was fantastic. I love that I can just set the temperature and time and leave it as it is. great product
