My white Pionus has grown so I wanted to give him a platform to sit on. He loves it and has personalized it with his planing. The bark on the edge was cut off. Someone complained that the perch is shallow. Turn it over and it rounds up. For small birds, I slant it slightly to the rounded side so they can hold on to the edge. Because it is a soft wood, it makes a great chew toy. This lasts about six months of chewing on my medium sized parrot. Great parrot toy for the money.
