The light works exactly as advertised. They turn on when motion is detected and turn off within 20 seconds when no motion is detected. My stopwatch is about 21 seconds but close enough. Position is key to battery drain placement. I have them sketch a floor panel in my hallway and a door in my hallway and a cabinet in my kitchen. Because of the placement, my bright lights still glow even though they're on, because when the light isn't falling directly on the sensor, they glow when there's motion. I tested it with a flashlight pointed directly at it and it didn't light up, but as soon as I moved the flashlight and moved it back in front of the sensor, the light came back on.
