Great budget option

Love these easy to assemble blinds! They replaced some very old vertical blinds and the pleated blinds give my windows an elegant look while still being very functional. They block the sun's rays but are thin enough to let light through. It's so easy to pull and lift the curtains by hand without using cords. They are durable and easy to install - no tools are required unless you need to trim your blinds. First, there are several ways to install blinds. For the first three windows I taped them into the window frames and they fit perfectly. The other set of two windows was slightly larger so I had to purchase larger curtains which had to be cut to fit the frames. Turns out I hadn't cut the first lampshade long enough to fit the frame and instead of trying to scrape off a half inch I decided to install them over the window frame. For the second window, I mounted the outer frame without cutting it and it fitted perfectly. One of the shades has a slight gap when viewed from the side, but it still looks good. It is better to cut equal parts at each end of the screen for consistency. Very thin cords are inserted into the folds and the measurements will definitely be wrong if the lampshade is only cut on one side. I used a cheap, fine-toothed saw to cut one end of the lampshade and the teeth quickly wore down to zero. I found another old saw for the other end of the shade, and both cut fairly well, if not very smoothly. The caps are removable and simply snap into place at the end of the cut. Cutting requires a little trial and error; Just measure well (there's a little ruler at the top), grab a variety of cutting tools, and take your time. I looked at very expensive shades and I think they are very comparable. I also love color.
