Better than the new

After a few years of heavy use, the Beats ear pads fell apart. I thought about new headphones but these gave them new life. The installation took me about 15 minutes. I used the included plastic tool and the old ear pads came off immediately leaving no trace of the tool. The pads have a 3M adhesive backing but they also came supplied with a rubber type adhesive like glue. I didn't need glue. There are plastic guides on the earbuds, you just need to line them up with the holes on the back of the earcups. As long as the kickstands are properly seated in the earcups, there's no gap. The materials seem to be higher quality than the originals, the outer material feels a bit thicker and the inner foam is a nice dense memory foam. I just wish they had more colors, my originals were grey. However, the headphones already have black accents, so the black turned out well. The level of noise isolation provided by the ear cushions is the same as the original, if not a little better, but it's difficult to judge without a direct comparison.
