So I bought this lightbulb about a year ago when I received a warning that the lightbulb had reached the end of its life. I didn't switch mainly because I didn't notice any difference in image quality. The light eventually started glowing on its own, with red lights on the display. So I open up my projector (a screw next to the small panel with the voided warranty sticker) and swap out the light. It was super easy, took about 5 minutes, after the replacement the difference in brightness was immediately noticeable. We thought we might have a glare problem as we just moved to a new house and there are a lot of windows. It's like the difference between day and night.
