Review on 🚿 VivaSpring Filtered Shower Head FSH25-CB: Chrome Finish, Obsidian Face, Wide Rain Spray, Soft Skin & Hair, 6-month Filter FF-15, Certified Filtration by Kevin Staniszewski

I have iron rich well water and was hoping this filter would remove at least some of it but I couldn't tell a difference on my skin and hair. The shower itself is a good size with a good shower coverage but the design is not very user friendly as it is very difficult to unscrew the head to get at the filter as it is very wide and smooth so not grabbing can be. Since the filter proved so ineffective in my case, I pulled out and opened the filter to clean the contents and add activated charcoal. Activated charcoal works wonders! Now the shower is amazing! I no longer smell iron and my skin and hair are soft. When I opened the filter, I found what looked more like coarse sand(?) inside. I have no idea what was in it, but replacing it with activated charcoal worked, so I did the same to all the shower filters in the house, including the Captain Eco filter.
