That's a good idea and I fell for it right away. When it arrived I was disappointed to see that it was a very thick and hard mat that was huge. I had to trim it to fit under the litter box. It looks like mice and the crisp design is great for hiding dirt falling out of the box. Unfortunately this is not very convenient. Cats didn't like walking on it and I understand why. It really hurts my legs. I can only imagine what it's like on little cat paws. save your money There are many other high quality mats that will not harm your (or your cat's) paws.
