Nice looking solid bases

These 22 inch bases are exactly what I expected. They were on my list for over a year but I was afraid to buy because I wasn't sure the height would be the best. Now I would like to get them a few months ago. The weight is significant and that was one of my main requirements. It connects easily and is difficult to tip over. My plan was to fill it with sand but now I don't think I need it. We're still discussing that. My speakers are large bookshelf models and look really nice on stands. I put some sticky shelf liners like this -1-spons&keywords=shelf%2Bliner&th=1 between the stands and my speakers to isolate them from vibration and prevent the speakers from falling off. The speakers are made of natural wood and many of the items I've reviewed stain, but this one doesn't. The posts are made of steel with a black textured finish similar to powder coating. The box was a little wrinkled when it was delivered, but the coasters were not damaged. They're packed pretty well. Yes, there are 2 coasters per purchase. These coasters have spikes and rubber feet on the bottom. Use spikes for carpets and rubber for hard surfaces. They also have rubber feet for the top if you want to mount a speaker on top. I prefer sticky leaves for that. If you want to add sand or metal shot, the holes for filling the tubes are small. You may want to drill a larger diameter into each tube before filling and capping. This is something that can be improved. There are also small flexible plastic panels with holes for cable management. You mount one on the bottom plate under the rear tube and the other on the top plate. If desired, the wire is passed through holes in the plastic outside of the support tubes. It's the only thing that doesn't look reliable. But they are optional and completely unobtrusive. I know they say the stands are only rated for a speaker up to 35 pounds, but I can put my full weight on them. You're probably saying that to avoid a very difficult situation. To be on the safe side, sprinkle sand or, even better, some grit inside the tubes if you have heavy speakers or children who can play with them roughly. Mine aren't light and they work great without them. If you are looking for beautiful looking coasters that are reliable and well made then these should be at the top of your list.
