He only seems to play CDs when he feels like it. I wish I had chosen something else

Dissatisfied with this purchase. Only seems to work when he wants it to. We opened it on Christmas morning and it took so long to get going. We thought it was completely broken. It finally started. He only seems to play CDs when he feels like it. I wish I would have gone with something else. I just thought my kids would love the ninja turtles design.
