First: for trimming thread for sewing machines (V30 and V46 100% poly thread for making sails as well as regular cotton/polyester) All three these scissors work flawlessly and if that is all I wanted from them they would get a 5/5. For more slippery things like the 100-pound Dyneema/Spectra only has one of the three blades hard enough to cut through. The other two pairs have less/weaker tension on the spring holding the blades together and they simply bend the thread without cutting it. Only deducted one star for this as they are advertised primarily for sewing and not cutting fishing/kite lines.
