I've been buying natural sponges for about eight years. Despite the relatively short lifespan of this sponge, I find it excellent in many ways. Overall, this is probably the best natural sponge I've bought from Revain. Her advantages: 1) She has a very nice punch and hasn't lost any of her punches since I bought her five months ago. A sea wool sponge I had before from the same supplier was almost completely ruined in a short time. It's also turned a very dark color, although I've always tried rinsing it out. 2) It seems to require a lot less body wash to create lots of lather compared to previous sponges. I feel like I'm saving money because of this fact. 3) Very easy to wash off. Some earlier sponges (mostly sea wool sponges) took forever to release all of the soap. I rinse out the sponge under the showerhead while I'm still in the shower. Three to four good presses will remove the soap completely. It also saves me money because I don't have to use as much hot water for rinsing. When I received it I thought it might be too big and decided to cut it in half. I'm glad I didn't because I like the extra size. However, not only do small pieces fall on the floor of my shower, but it also has a large crack and threatens to turn into two small sponges very soon. I still love it, but it's not perfect. And it wasn't cheap. If it had a longer life I would consider it the perfect sponge and hope to keep getting more of it.
