Not accurate, fits Cheap Torque Wrench

Although this torque wrench looks nice and comes in a hard carrying case with a 3/8" extension and adapter, it doesn't meet the advertised 3% accuracy, and it really is only useful for tightening nuts not as critical as some other details. I wouldn't use this wrench for anything critical as you can easily twist or lose something which can cause problems later. Considering the price, it's not that bad. My wheels require 65lb-ft of torque and compared to a much better digital torque wrench this is 4lb more when set at 65lb-ft. Another issue with this device is that the dial is difficult to read, making it difficult to set it to the settings you want. I've noticed that the device is constantly off, like it wasn't properly calibrated. So once you find the right torque setting you need, you can just set it that way. It's a bit of a chore if you're looking for precision, but it's hard to expect a professional-grade tool for less than $40, no matter what the box says. I would consider this a starter tool to ensure your wheels are at least in the range they should be as many tire and other auto shops will put their pneumatic impact nuts on your cleats and tighten them well beyond spec. In that sense, 69 lbs/ft is way better than the 100+ lbs/ft I've seen several times in my area.

Pros
  • Hand Tool
Cons
