Pet friendly (makeshift) doggie door-- yay!

I was looking for a double- panel, strong plastic, magnetic curtain rather than the kind that is just a double- panel 'screen' door curtain, to use over the doorway of a backyard door. So that it would keep the cold air from escaping from indoors, and seal up good enough to keep all insects OUT. Not thinking I would ever find this. Was so glad I found it in just enough time to be able to use while a family member went away on vacation. I will say that it has been working out great because of…

Pros
  • Improves Air Quality
Cons
  • The insulation may cause problems with opening and closing pet doors

Works great except on windy days

It works great for me as a solution to keep my backyard door opened for my dog in hot days (and my AC on) She easily makes her way in and out through it and it closes instantly keeping the hot outside. It surprised me that such a thin fabric could keep hot outside but it does. I can tell the difference in temperature on both sides of the door. It doesn't work for me on windy days because it constantly opens and closes with the winds letting hot breeze in but I still recommend it for not windy…

Pros
  • Keeps Home Warm During Cold Winter Months
Cons
  • May not be suitable for high traffic areas

Lifesaver!: my feedback

I don't usually leave reviews but I'm so impressed by the difference this magnetic screen made in my apartment. My kitchen gets insanely hot in the summer and has no door so the heats creeps into my living room making it unbearable. The AC in my living room was useless in cooling the space till I installed this screen. The difference was immediately apparent in a matter of minutes. Best thing I bought for the apartment!

Pros
  • Fits All Standard Doors
Cons
  • The insulation may absorb odors and smells

Not sure yet - my new review

No adhesion strip included! Received the box and got the clear curtain, seems to hold the heat upstairs separate from the basement in an okay manner, but didn't receive any velcro strip! It says it's included but all i received was the curtain, no strip with sticky side to attach to the door frame to keep it in place around the edge with velcro, luckily i had two sided tape on hand to attach to the edges and get it installed to the door frame but if it didn't i wouldn't have been able to…

Pros
  • Keeps Home Cool During Hot Summer Months
Cons
  • Cleaning may require special care to prevent damage

Magnets don’t really work but customer service is nice

This is my second one I’ve purchased. I originally got the brown one which worked fine. I got this white one that’s supposedly new and it does not work well. Installed it correctly but the magnets just don’t touch! They don’t want to touch even if you bring it manually close together. Really sucks because this leaves a huge gap for air to flow out. And this curtain is really weak. If I open the garage door and let air in, it blows right through this curtain! That didn’t happen with the brown…

Pros
  • Provides Privacy
Cons
  • Magnets may become demagnetized over time

AC can now keep the kitchen cool!

This was a great buy for my apartment, in the kitchen area where there is no door to the hallway. Now I can finally keep the kitchen area somewhat thermally isolated, so that the cool air doesn’t get wasted by drifting down the hallway. The only real downsides for me - considering the reasonable cost - were that there was not a 32”x86” wide curtain available, which would’ve been better for my application (I have since found one by another vendor), plus brown/clear seems to be the only available

Pros
  • High-Quality and Durable Material
Cons
  • The self-sealing technology may not work as well on uneven door frames

Some gaps on magnetic closure

I have an opening in a hallway that separates the bedrooms from the kitchen and living room that doesn't have a door so I bought this to help keep the areas separated from when I turn on the mini-split ACs in the bedrooms and kitchen without having them cool the whole house.Installation was easy but as you see can in the photo, there's a small gap in the top part of the screen that won't close. It still works probably 90% well enough to keep the two area air circulation separate that I didn't…

Pros
  • Building Supplies
Cons
  • Installation may require additional tools and equipment

So durable, best one yet!

I replace these screens every year or two, depending on the brand. I normally buy the Flux phenom material mesh products. When buying for my French doors, it's always so much more and bought these because I needed it to ne more durable to hold up to my cat. Let me start by saying how IMPRESSED I am with the durability of the FIBERGLASS mesh by Ikstar brand. These will last a good few years I know already the only thing I didn't care for are the plastic headed tacks. Other than that, the velcro…

Pros
  • Doors
Cons
  • The self-sealing technology may not function properly

Saves on Heating - my new review

I have an old hollow wooden door with a plastic window that separates my kitchen from my enclosed back porch. My kitchen always had a slight breeze and was noticeably cooler than the rest of the house. This is a great way to help cut back on that draft until or even after I'm able to replace the door with a proper insulated one. I started noticing a difference after the heat kicked in and the kitchen stayed warmer. It stops a large amount of cold air from coming through, especially when I open…

Pros
  • Good overall
Cons
  • The insulation may not be thick enough to keep out extreme cold

Gets the job done for my opinion

This is a second buy, I love that it is easy to install and has good adhesion. We use to at entrance of our living room because there is no door. This allows to keep the heat (winter time) and cool AC air (summertime) in the room. Our rental space isn’t big so, it helps also with keeping out food smell when we are cooking. It minimizes the smells in the living room. As I mentioned, this is a second buy, the durability is not great especially if your have small children, but if it’s just adult…

Pros
  • Child-Friendly Magnetic Design
Cons
  • May not be able to withstand extreme temperatures

Works as described: my feedback

I was a bit skeptical that this would work but I have used the brown EVA version to seal off a mudroom that has an exterior door and the temperature difference speaks for itself. I do wish the bottom was a little bit heavier duty, it could use some heavier material to keep the breeze from coming across the floor. Otherwise for the price it’s a great value and it really does work. Installation was easy, I actually put up my own frame to hold it so I can take it down completely in spring. Sizing…

Pros
  • Works really well. Magnet is strong. Insulates better than I was expecting.
Cons
  • May not adhere well to certain surfaces

Has its flaws but I would buy again.

It's not pretty, but it works so well that it makes up for it. Install tip: dont stretch it taut - it closes more naturally when it has about a finger's width of slack on each side (I just misalign the velcro a bit when I am laying the sides down in place). As long as you walk through it with purpose, it closes properly. If you walk slowly, you'll want to kick it open after you pass through so that it has the chance to return to its place. You get used to it fast, kind of like closing a door…

Pros
  • Completely Transparent Viewing
Cons
  • The insulation may not provide enough soundproofing

Does the job but tears easily

Somewhat easy to install had to make minor adjustments so it fit my door frame. The velcro is durable, but the plastic is very thin so dogs paws will rip it easily. For now, it does the job and i have been patching up the holes in the plastic with heavy duty clear tape. Overall, for the price I would buy again and probably put the heavy duty clear tape on both sides on the bottom half of the plastic to make it more durable before installing

Pros
  • Climate Control in Any Room
Cons
  • The insulation may attract and hold onto dust and debris

A non sticky situation (metal door)

I bought this to use on my metal screen door. It stuck for about a week (maybe 5 days) but opening and closing the door caused the top part of it to fall down and it has never recovered. I have tried to Restrict it with tape ape and it doesn't really work because of the wind. I actually do need this cover for now because of notoriously nosy neighbors (not the nice kind) And I let to have my wooden door open.So now it's just up there looking tacky until I can find a better alternative. Wouldn't…

Pros
  • Helps to Block Out Unwanted Noise
Cons
  • The curtain may not be wide enough to effectively cover the doorway

Keeps the heat in the kitchen

I bought 2 of these to use in my galley kitchen which does not have air ducts for heat/ac. I’m a single person and so air conditioning the kitchen is total waste of energy. I put one on each entryway and it keeps the heat in the kitchen and the ac in the areas I actually use. The magnet closures are strong enough to keep it closed but still easily "breakable” for my cat to enter and leave as she pleases since her food and water are in the kitchen. I would’ve liked to have had a pattern on them,

Pros
  • Simple Maintenance and Cleaning
Cons
  • The magnets may scratch or damage certain types of doors

Not for typical door

Not for use on typical hinged door. Seals out winter cold air, but no room to swing the inner door open, even with magnetic seam open. Have to take the whole curtain down off the velcro.

Pros
  • Enhances Safety and Security
Cons
  • Some users may find the installation process difficult or confusing

God, but. for my opinion

Love the screen, install was fine. Only complaint is that the screen is starting to tear along the creases where it was folded in the packaging. Since you push against the screen to go in and out, I'm concerned the small holes will continue to expand and this will need replacing sooner than later.

Pros
  • Fire
Cons
  • Not suitable for larger doorways

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice for privacy: my feedback

I get a really big size for a room with no door frame. Works fine but looses at the top. Cant blame them because it was designed to hang from a wall and not the cieling. However I do feel like the magnets are a bit weak. I have to hold them together to close it. They never snap together.

Pros
  • It did it's job when the we kept it closed.
Cons
  • The plastics tore within two weeks of installation. Also difficult to install.

Helps control heat and ac

Love this thing, our entryway isn't insulated, it was clearly an add on to the house, any ac or heat that gets in there is basically wasted, we put this thing in the doorway between it and the rest of the house, and you can definitely tell a 5-10 degree difference and the bills dropped on reflection.

Pros
  • Easy Access for Seniors and Handicapped Individuals
Cons
  • May not be suitable for renters who cannot make permanent modifications to their homes

Cold Air Out best in my review

Has really helped with keeping the cold air out, we were impressed of how good this product turned out. And easiness to come in and out the door with the magnets. Will be ordering another up and update my review a few months down. We used both the adhesion tape and thumbtacks that came with the product to secure it to the door.

Pros
  • Perfect for Homes with Pets
Cons
  • Expected lifespan may be shorter than other door curtain options
