It works great for me as a solution to keep my backyard door opened for my dog in hot days (and my AC on) She easily makes her way in and out through it and it closes instantly keeping the hot outside. It surprised me that such a thin fabric could keep hot outside but it does. I can tell the difference in temperature on both sides of the door. It doesn't work for me on windy days because it constantly opens and closes with the winds letting hot breeze in but I still recommend it for not windy days. It is a great solution as a pet door for big dogs. Get it in black, I 've got it in white and it is difficult to keep it clean.
