I've only had my desktop notebook for 4 days, but it doesn't take long for me to realize that it's one of the best investments I've made for my home office. The cushion is exactly as described - soft, realistic faux leather and a suede underside to prevent it from sliding around on the table. The price made me wonder if it would be cheap, but it's not at all. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great long lasting placemat.
